CONFESSIONS
"I was chatting to this girl on a plane about music and discovered we'd both sold six million albums! I'm thinking 'Who on earth is this girl?' so I pretend to go to the toilet so I could ask our make-up artist. She told me she was the girl who'd just left Destiny's Child! How embarrassing!"
"I enjoy having a good shit! Nobody knows that do they? Heh-heh! You can't beat a good long number two. I always pick up whatever is in the bathroom - the deodorant can or toilet roll pack - and have a bit of a read. I mean, if I'm in a rush, I'm in a rush, but five or ten minutes is ideal. I'm sure if I was reading the papers, I could be in there for half an hour or so!"
"I absolutely detest lifts - I always have. And it's become even more of a problem since I've been in the band, because we're travelling the world and staying in these huge hotels which means we have to get into lifts all the time. And the worst thing is, the other four lads keep jumping up and down to make the lift wobble! Last time we were in Acapulco in Mexico, we were staying on the 17th floor. On the last day, I walked all the way down to reception with some clothes in my hand. When I got there I noticed that I'd dropped a polo neck along the way, so I had to walk all the way back up and I found it on the 16th floor, then had to go all the way back down again! Basically, I end up walking all the time and it's a real pain. I have got slightly better over the last year or so, so maybe it'll just take time until I can step into a lift without worrying. That's what I'm hoping. They say you have to face your fears...."
"Shane and I share a room when we're on the road. We were in Birmingham and I had the bed by the wall and Shane's bed was on my right next to the window. I woke up in the middle of the night and looked over and Shane's bed had disappeared. All I could see was the window! I couldn't figure out what was going on, then all of a sudden I felt an arm on my shoulder. I froze and slowly looked around and I realised I was in Shane's bed and he had his arm draped over me! I quietly moved his arm and went back to my own bed. I don't know how it happened, because I definitely fell asleep in my own bed! I told him about it the next morning and I was so embarrassed!"
