They are the boy band sensations who have taken on their idols Westlife in a battle to win the hearts of music fans.
Now JLS are bringing their rivalry right to the Flying Without Wings stars’ backyards as they gear up to play four nights at the Odyssey Arena.
But despite No1 albums, singles and adulation wherever they travel, JLS admit: “We’re still the boys and Westlife are still the men.”
In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mirror as they prepare to rock Belfast, singer Marvin Jones confesses: “We can’t even count ourselves in the same league as Westlife yet. They are like pop royalty.
“A lot of people made something out of us getting the No1 album and Westlife getting No2 but overall you have to hand it to those guys – they’ve survived 11 years and we’ve only done one.” When JLS jet in for their gigs hundreds of devoted girls will follow their every move.
