ONE DIRECTION ARE YOUNG WESTLIFE

X Factor group One Direction have been likened to a young Westlife. Speaking to the Daily Mirror, judge Louis Walsh suggested the boys could go far. “Of course we need another boyband. There’s always room for boybands and they are the perfect boyband,” he commented. “There’s a whole new generation that are going to love One Direction. They’re a young Westlife or Take That.” Walsh is reportedly expecting Matt Cardle to be crowned the winner on this year’s show. However, he believes one of Cheryl Cole’s acts has the most talent. “The person with the best recording voice is definitely Rebecca. I think she’s the real star,” he told the newspaper. Commenting after Rebecca Ferguson’s performance during last night’s show, Walsh said she was his favorite X Factor contestant ever and was a nice person behind the scenes. Cheryl echoed his comments, saying her act was a beautiful person inside and out.
