CELEBRITIES are lining up to back our fantastic Christmas Appeal in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital, with top boyband WESTLIFE the latest stars to show they care.

Irish lads Westlife have dedicated a message of hope to the children on one of our special stocking cards, which we will deliver to the sick youngsters spending Christmas Day on the wards.

Great Ormond Street in London treats sick children with life-threatening illnesses from across the UK. But the hospital is in need of funds and support to ensure their world class care

And it’s not just celebs like Cheryl Cole who can help – YOU CAN TOO. To send a message on a stocking to the children and help bring a smile to their faces this Christmas, see details below.

Another X Factor star to send support is winner Joe McElderry, 19, who has first-hand experience after visiting the hospital last Christmas.

He says: “It makes me realise how lucky I am. All of their stories move you but what’s amazing is that everyone’s so positive.”

Channel 5 presenter Zoe Salmon, 30, also backs the Daily Star campaign.

“I’ve visited the hospital many times and am continually amazed at the incredible courage and bravery of the children, ” she says.

Other stars giving their support include Mel B, 35, boybands JLS and The Wanted, Louie Spence, 41, chart-toppers Roll Deep, and Professor Green, 26.

N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos, 22, is also sending an emotional message to the children and explains why the charity is one close to her heart.

She reveals: “It’s important to me to be a good role model and I know that by backing a charity campaign like this I can help raise awareness.

“My fans listen to me and if I can persuade just one person to pledge their support in the same way then I have made a difference.”
